Returns
We accept returns only for products purchased directly from thegreenpetshop.com.
Eligible returns must meet all of the following requirements:
- Return requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery
- New and unused
- In the original product packaging
- In original, sellable condition
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We do not provide prepaid return shipping labels for defect-free returns.
Products that are scratched, stained, chewed, covered in pet hair or fur, damaged, soiled, or otherwise show signs of use are not eligible for return or refund.
If you are purchasing a Cool Pet Pad, we recommend using a cover or placing a lightweight sheet over the pad while determining whether your pet likes it. This helps keep the product in returnable condition.
Please do not return used items unless you have been specifically instructed to do so by our Customer Service team.
If a non-returnable item is returned to us, it is not eligible for a refund. We can either:
- Dispose of the item at no charge, or
- Return the item to you at your expense.
Returns are accepted only for purchases made directly through thegreenpetshop.com. If you purchased your product through another retailer or website, please contact that retailer directly regarding their return policy.
How to Request a Return
To request a return, please email customerservice@thegreenpetshop.com within 14 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- The item(s) you wish to return
- The reason for the return
All returns require authorization from our Customer Service team. Please do not ship your return until you have received return instructions and approval.
Refunds
For approved returns that are requested within 14 days of delivery and meet our return requirements, we will issue a refund for the purchase price of the item once the return has been received and inspected.
Please note:
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days after we receive and inspect your return.
We recommend using a shipping service with delivery confirmation when returning merchandise.
Please package your return carefully. We cannot issue refunds for merchandise that is damaged during return shipping.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges.
If you would like a different item, simply place a new order. Once we receive and approve your eligible return, we will refund the original item in accordance with our return policy.
Final Sale & Clearance Items
All Final Sale and Clearance items are not eligible for return, refund, exchange, or store credit.
Please note:
- Warranties do not apply to Final Sale items.
- Any Final Sale or Clearance items returned to us will be donated and are not eligible for a refund.
By purchasing a Final Sale item, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
Defective or Damaged Items
If you believe your item is defective upon opening, please contact us within 14 days of delivery using our Contact Us form or by emailing customerservice@thegreenpetshop.com.
In many cases, defective items do not need to be returned in order to receive a refund or replacement.
Each claim is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If We Made a Mistake
If we shipped the wrong item, we'll make it right.
We will provide a prepaid return shipping label and reship the correct product at no additional cost to you.
Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order because of a promo code issue, please contact customerservice@thegreenpetshop.com for a price adjustment instead of placing a new order.
If you still wish to cancel your order, please email orders@thegreenpetshop.com with the subject line:
CANCEL ORDER
within one hour of placing your order.
Please note:
- Cancellations are not guaranteed, especially during weekends or holidays.
- We will do our best to accommodate your request.
- Refunds and adjustments are processed within 5 business days.
Warranty Information
The Green Pet Shop warrants to the original consumer that our products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period (which varies by product) from the original date of purchase.
Our liability under this warranty is limited to replacement of the product.
This warranty is void if damage results from:
- Accident
- Improper or unreasonable use
- Neglect
- Tampering
- Any cause unrelated to defects in materials or workmanship
Cool Pet Pad Warranty
The Green Pet Shop is not responsible for rips or tears that are not reported immediately upon opening the package.
Within 14 days of delivery, we will replace a Cool Pet Pad with rips or tears for 50% of the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) when:
- Photos of the damage are submitted, and
- The claim is approved.
Customers are responsible for all shipping and handling costs.
The Green Pet Shop is not responsible for rips or tears that were not noticed immediately after opening the package.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, please email customerservice@thegreenpetshop.com for return authorization.
Please include:
- Your original dated proof of purchase
- Your order number
- Photos of the issue (when applicable)
Please refer to the product instructions before submitting a warranty claim, as damage resulting from improper use is not covered.

The cost of Guide Package Protection depends on the total value of your order.
How long before my delivery is classified as lost?
If your parcel hasn't had an updated tracking scan in 5 days, it’s considered lost in transit, and you can make a claim.
What happens if my parcel is stolen / if it says delivered but I haven’t received it?
File a claim as normal here and Guide will go ahead and process your claim.
How long do I have to file a claim?
30 – 45 days depending on the claim type. This is from the ship date of the order.
What do I do if I have not purchased shipping protection and my package is lost, stolen, or damaged?
Customers who choose to opt out of package protection acknowledge that Green Pet is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
